Hotel ÜJA sits on Via da l'Ospidal in the heart of Scuol, its facade shaped by over 125 years of Lower Engadin weather. Inside, hand-carved details and traditional Arvenholz pine paneling line the rooms. The scent of Swiss stone pine fills every corridor. Balcony doors open to Alpine forest, and dried wildflowers rest on bedside tables. Linen bedding and leather armchairs complete a palette drawn from the surrounding Graubünden landscape.Once known as Traube, the building welcomed mountain travellers for generations. In 2025, Simona and Claudio left Zürich to begin a new chapter here. They live on-site with their Australian Shepherd, Jäx, running ÜJA as a true owner-occupied hotel. Their approach favors slower days, genuine warmth, and a deep personal stake in every detail.
