Ground floor heating comes from a wood pellet stove that is carbon neutral and operates at 90% efficiency, compared to 40-50% for traditional wood stoves. The building was re-insulated during renovation to reduce thermal loss. Seasonal menus and careful supplier selection keep packaging waste and food waste low.
