Six dining venues run under one roof, led by Patrick Mahler's two-Michelin-starred focus ATELIER. Lake water drawn through heat exchangers heats and cools the entire building, a centrepiece of the hotel's Visions of Sustainability program. Every element loops back to the lake and the forest. The hotel suits guests who value refined gastronomy and quiet seclusion over spectacle.
The 25,000 m² private forest behind Park Hotel Vitznau opens directly to walking paths through old-growth canopy. A certified personal trainer leads sessions indoors, outdoors, and along trails in the natural surroundings above Vitznau. The 24-hour fitness room overlooks the grounds.
From November, a Fondue Gondola floats on Lake Lucerne, serving Gstaad cheese fondue in collaboration with Gstaad Tourism. The wine cellar, holding 35,000 bottles, hosts guided tours and tastings. All spa and wellness amenities are reserved for hotel guests only. La Prairie treatments, full-body therapies, and facials run daily from 10 am to 7 pm. The pool opens at 7 am. Personal training sessions move between the fitness room, the grounds, and the trails above Vitznau.
Park Hotel Vitznau's Visions of Sustainability program ties the hotel's operations directly to its setting. Lake Lucerne water flows through heat exchangers to heat and cool the entire building, replacing conventional energy sources and cutting CO2 emissions. Behind the hotel, 25,000 square metres of privately owned forest serve as a carbon sink and biodiversity habitat, managed in harmony with natural cycles.
