From bog to marathon: a winter weekend the Metsa Way
Winter in the Nordics right now? Unfairly beautiful. And the Metsa team did what we always preach—we went out to live it. Because if we don’t walk the talk, who will? The weekend keywords: snow, skis, kilometres, firsts, and an unexpected rescue mission for Kliff.
Our CPO Lauri casually decided his first ski season should include a 31 km freestyle marathon. For context—he bought his first pair of skis just one month ago. Normal behaviour at Metsa.
Founders Kaidi & Stine took different compass directions, although the same energy. Kaidi: deep in a winter bog (literally), gliding through silence with her sporty friends. Finished with tent sauna and ice water. Perfection. Stine: skiing under the vast skies of the Georgian mountains. Postcard stuff.
Meanwhile founder and metsa.ai CEO Triin clocked serious kilometres on snowy coastal trails in Estonia, powered by pure determination and a fearless four-legged explorer, Kliff (and indeed, he is ridiculously cute).
Founder Aleksander took the most challenging route—hiking on ice in Norwegian fjords. The toughest challenges are rewarded the best—you should see the photos from his trip! To summarize, this is your sign: if you’re in the Nordics, drop everything and go outside. If you’re anywhere else, sneakers or hiking boots — choose your weapon.
The outdoors is calling, very soon with the help of metsa.ai.
